LBA-3 is a highly potent, selective sodium-coupled citrate transporter (NaCT, SLC13A5) with IC50 of 67 nM.
LBA-3 effectively reduced triglyceride levels in OPA-induced HepG2 cells.
LBA-3 effectively lowered triglyceride and total cholesterol levels in diverse mouse models (PCN-stimulated and starvation-induced), without detectable toxicity.
