Biological Activity

LJ-5242 is a selective, ATP-mimicking inhibitor of atypical serine/threonine kinase haploid germ cell-specific nuclear protein kinase (HASPIN) with MST Kd of 23.1 nM, and IC50 of 1.1 nM.
LJ-5242 binds to the ATP-binding pocket of HASPIN in an ATP-like orientation.
LJ-5242 displays >1000-fold selectivity over FYN, PAK4, and TYK2 kinases.
LJ-5242 potently suppresses cellular proliferation in cancer cell strains, human lung cancer cell line A549 and human colon cancer cell line HCT116.
