LLP-3 is a potent inhibitor of Survivin protein interaction, sepcifically inhibits Survivin-Ran complex formation, inhibits glioma stem cells (GSC) survival and growth.
LLP-3 does not affect the interaction of Survivin with other chromosomal passenger complex (CPC) proteins.
LLP-3 induces GBM cell apoptosis by inhibiting Survivin complex formation with Ran in a caspase- and p53 status–dependent manner.
LLP-3 inhibits Survivin interaction with Smac/DIABLO and small GTPase Ran.
LLP-3 induces apoptotic cell death in organotypic slice cultures of GBM surgical specimens.
LLP-3 abolishes the growth of patient-derived GBM spheres in vitro and in vivo.
