MG149 is a selective histone acetyltransferase Tip60 (KAT5) inhibitor with IC50 of 74 uM, with no activity against PCAF and p300.
MG149 effectively inhibits acetyltransferase activity of nuclear extracts on the histone H3 and H4 at micromolar concentrations.
MG 149 is competitive with Ac-CoA and noncompetitive with the histone substrate.
