Biological Activity

MI-743 is a potent, specific inhibitor of human mutT homolog 1 (MTH1, Nudix hydrolase 1, NUDT1) with IC50 of 91.44 nM.
MI-743 causes cytotoxicity and induces 8-oxo-dG accumulation, DNA damage and apoptosis in MGC-803 and HGC-27 cells.
MI-743 (40 mg/kg, once a day) is efficacious in inhibiting the MGC-803 cells growth in vivo without obvious global toxicity.
MI-743 induced gastric cancer cell apoptosis.
