MSNBA is a specific inhibitor of glucose transporter GLUT5, competitively inhibits GLUT5 fructose uptake with Ki of 3.2 uM, inhibits GLUT5 fructose transport in proteoliposomes with IC50 of 0.1 uM.
MSNBA is a specific inhibitor of glucose transporter GLUT5, competitively inhibits GLUT5 fructose uptake with Ki of 3.2 uM, inhibits GLUT5 fructose transport in proteoliposomes with IC50 of 0.1 uM. MSNBA does not affect the fructose transport of human GLUT2 or the glucose transport of human GLUT1-4 or bacterial GlcPSe. MSNBA potently inhibitsfructose uptake by GLUT5 in the human breast adenocarcinoma cell line MCF7 (IC50=5.8 uM).
