MT-1027 is a highly potent α1 adrenoceptor and 5-HT2A receptor antagonist with IC50 of <0.1 nM and 0.27 nM respectively.
MT-1027 also shows high potency against adrenergic α1B (IC50 = 0.15 nM and Ki = 0.086 nM) and for adrenergic α1D (IC50 = 1.40 nM and Ki = 0.69 nM).
MT-1027 shows pA2 values of 7.98 ± 0.04 and 8.86 against noradrenaline and 5-HT-induced contraction in aortae.
MT-1027 has fewer side effects in a postural BP assay and could prevent the onset of postural hypotension.
