MU147 is a specific small molecule inhibitor of MRE11 nuclease with IC50 of 25.3 uM, inhibits MRE11-RAD50-NBS1 (MRN)-dependent homologous recombination.
MU147 inhibits MRE11 nuclease more specifically and effectively than mirin.
MU147 shows good selectivity against MUS81 and EXO1 (IC50>200 uM), but not FEN1(IC50=82.7 uM) in in vitro nuclease activity assays.
MU147 is significantly more effective at inhibiting exonuclease activity of MRE11 compared to mirin analog PFM01 in in vitro gel-based assays.
MU147 blocks MRE11 nuclease and affect DNA repair in cells.
