Nedocromil (FPL59002) is a mast cell stabilizer, inhibits the degranulation of mast cells, prevents release of histamine and tryptase, so preventing the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, including histamine, leukotriene C4 (LTC4), and prostaglandin D2 (PGD2).
