OXi6196 is a potent tubulin-binding agent with IC50 of 200 nM for inhibition of tubulin polymerization utilizing a cell-free assay.
OXi6196 shows cytotoxicity in the low nM range (IC50 2.2–4.5 nM) in human SK-OV-3 ovarian, DU-145 prostate, NCI-H460 lung cells and murine hemangioendothelioma MHEC-5T cancer cells.
OXi6196 caused G2/M cell cycle arrest.
OXi6196 (100 nM) disrupted capillary-like endothelial networks pre-established with HUVECs on Matrigel®.
