Biological Activity
PAD4 inhibitor YJ-2 is a potent small molecule peptidylarginine deiminase 4 (PAD4) inhibitor with IC50 of 0.836 uM, approximately 7-fold more potent than Cl-amidine and superior to BB-Cl-amidine.
YJ-2 reduced NET-mediated neuronal death and oxidative stress in vitro, and improved endothelial barrier integrity.
YJ-2 significantly lowered infarct volume (44.2% → 30.6%), improved neurological function, and suppressed apoptosis in MCAO/R rats.
