PD-307243 (PD307243) is a potent hERG channel activator that concentration-dependently increases the hERG current (2.1 and 3.4-fold at 3 and 10 uM, respectively) and markedly slows hERG channel deactivation and inactivation.
PD-307243 induces instantaneous hERG current with little decay at membrane potentials from -120 to -40 mV at 3 and 10 uM, induces an I(to)-like upstroke of hERG current at more positive voltages.
PD-307243 slows the channel deactivation but has no effect on channel activation.
