PD153035 (ZM 252868, AG 1517, Tyrphostin AG 1517, SU 5271) is a highly potent, specific, ATP-competitive EGFR inhibitor with IC50 of 0.025 nM; inhibits EGF-dependent EGF receptor phosphorylation and suppresses the proliferation and clonogenicity of a wide panel of EGF receptor-overexpressing human cancer cell lines (IC50<1 uM); rapidly suppresses phosphorylation of the EGF receptor in A431 human epidermoid tumors grown as xenografts in immunodeficient nude mice.
