PPBI is a potent, selective, full M1 muscarinic agonist with EC50 of 5, 8, and 21 nM for human, rat, and mouse M1 receptors, respectively.
PPBI displays a functional potency more than 10-fold than that of M4, >100-fold more potent over M2, M3 and M5.
PPBI reverses d-amphetamine locomotor activity, also reverses a natural deficit in a rat cognition model.
PPBI is analgesic in a variety of rat and mouse models.
