Biological Activity
PTERi (PTER inhibitor) is a potent, seletive inhibitor of PTER (phosphotriesterase-related) with IC50 of 43 nM (recombinant mouse PTER activity), >100-fold selectivity for PTER over HDACs and sirtuin (SIRT) deacetylases in vitro.
PTERi also inhibits human (IC50=830 nM), rat, and sponge PTER enzymes with IC50 concentrations in the nanomolar range.
PTERi enhances GLP1-RA (glucagon like peptide 1 receptor agonist)-induced weight loss, and prevents weight regain after GLP1-RA discontinuation in diet-induced obese mice reduces feeding.
