RO5254601 is a novel indole-type γ-secretase modulator (GSM) with IC50 (Aβ42) of 380 nM in HEK293/sw cells, increases the production of Aβ38.
RO5254601 also increased Aβ37, which is normally less abundant than Aβ38.
RO5254601 does not impair Notch1 cleavage.
RO5254601 reduces Aβ42 in PS1 L166P KI MEF cells.
