Runcaciguat (BAY1101042) is a potent, selective soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC) stimulator/activator with EC50 of 6 nM in cGMP formation assay with sGC-overexpressing CHO cell.
Runcaciguat (BAY1101042) binds and activates oxidized and heme-free sGC and thereby restores NO-sGC-cGMP signaling under oxidative stress.
Runcaciguat (BAY1101042) potently and selectively activates the heme-free form of sGC, resulting in the typical profile of an sGC activator in preclinical experiments, both in vitro and in vivo.
