S21-1011 is a potent, selective, BBB-penetrant butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitor with IC50 of 59 nM and 162 nM for eqBChE and hBChE, respectively.
S21-1011 displays 508-fold and 190-fold selectivity for eqBChE and hBChE over electrophorus electricus AChE (eeAChE), respectively.
S21-1011 shows europrotective effects against H2O2-induced neuronal damages on PC12 cells.
S21-1011 plays a neuroprotective and anti-oxidative character to protect cells from damages triggered by Aβ, LPS and H2O2.
S21-1011 functions as a neuroprotective role via activating Nrf2 pathway and resisting inflammation injuries.
