SPI009 is a novel antipersister compound active against P. aeruginosa, reduces the number of persisters up to 100,000-fold in both lab strains and clinical isolates of P. aeruginosa when combined with distinct classes of antibiotics.
SPI009 efficiently kills persister cells with minor cytotoxicity, and causes no erythrocyte damage.
