Biological Activity

THBZA is a circadian period-lengthening compound that preferentially inhibits casein kinase I (CKIδ, CK1δ) over CKIα with IC50 of 3.0 uM and 8.8 uM respectively.
THBZA lengthens cellular circadian period in human U2OS cells.
THBZA lengthens circadian period in Per2::Luc knock-in mouse tissue explants.
THBZA inhibits CKI with moderate CKIδ selectivity (2.9 fold over CKIα).
