THI0019 is a small molecule agonist of the integrin α4β1 (very late antigen-4 or VLA-4) with EC50 of 1.7 uM in cell adhesion assays in which Jurkat cells bound to CS1-conjugated BSA.
THI0019 enhances α4β7, α5β1, and αLβ2-mediated cell adhesion.
THI0019 does not induce expression of α4β1 or LIBS epitopes.
THI0019 facilitates cell spreading on VCAM-1, and enhances SDF-1-mediated cell migration.
