TR120 is a potent inductor of apoptosis in the BCR-ABL-positive K562 and KCL-22 cell lines and in their imatinib resistant counterpart K562-R and KCL22-R cells in vitro.
TR120 induces a marked decrease in signal transducer and activator of transcription 5 (STAT5) expression in K562 cells.
TR120 exhibits synergistic effects when used in combination with imatinib in both sensitive and resistant cells.
