TRIB2 inhibitor 1 hydrochloride is a small-molecule binder and inhibitor of Tribbles pseudokinase 2 (TRIB2), downregulates TRIB2 levels at micromolar concentration.
Tribbles (TRIBs), first identified in Drosophila as key regulators of the cell cycle, belong to the CAMK subfamily in the human kinome.
The TRIB family includes TRIB1, TRIB2, TRIB3 and STK40.
Pseudokinase TRIB2, a member of the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family, regulates various cellular processes through phosphorylation-independent mechanisms.
TRIB2 acts as a substrate adaptor, facilitating substrate ubiquitination and degradation via its COP1-binding motif.
TRIB2 functions as a switchable scaffold for the assembly and regulation of signaling modules.
