TUG-1375 (TUG1375, TUG 1375) is a potent, selective free fatty acid receptor 2 (FFA2/GPR43) agonist with β-arrestin-2 pEC50 of 6.1 and cAMP pEC50 of 7.11.
TUG-1375 also shows activity on the murine FFA2 orthologue (pEC50=6.44 in the cAMP assay), displays no significant agonist or antagonist response in FFA1 (GPR40) or FFA4 (GPR120), or in nuclear receptors PPARα, PPARγ, PPARδ, LXRα or LXRβ.
TUG-1375 induces migration of human neutrophils and inhibits lipolysis in murine adipocytes.
