Tenidap (CP-66248) reduces A 23187-stimulated LTB4 (IC50=18 uM) and PGE2 (IC50=32 nM) synthesis. Tenidap (CP-66248) Inhibits arachidonic acid-induced LTB4 and PGE2 production with IC50 of 13 uM and 65 nM, respectively. Tenidap (CP-66248) significantly inhibits the production of the pro-inflammatory cytokines, interleukin-1, interleukin-6 and tumour necrosis factor in human cell lines, and inhibits cytokine-mediated processes such as cartilage degradation, bone resorption, metalloprotease synthesis, endothelial cell adhesion and monocyte differentiation.
