TrmD-IN-2 is a potent, covalent inhibitor of bacterial tRNA (m1G37) methyltransferase (TrmD) with IC50 of 0.85 uM for E. coli TrmD, with minimal inhibition of human Trm5 (IC50=1.88 mM), shows selective growth inhibition in bacteria expressing TrmD.
