UCM-14216 (UCM14216) is a potent and selective antagonist of type 2 lysophosphatidic acid receptor (LPA2) with KD value of 1.3 nM and IC50 of 1.9 uM.
UCM-14216 displays a selectivity over other LPA receptor subtypes (LPA1 and LPA3-6, with 10-fold selectivity in terms of IC50 value with respect to LPA1 and LPA3 and 10-fold selectivity versus LPA6 and >50-fold selectivity versus LPA4 and LPA5 in terms of KD).
UCM-14216 (25 mg/kg, i.p.) significantly improves motor recovery in an in vivo model of spinal cord injury in an LPA2-dependent manner.
