UTX-143 is a potent, selective sodium-hydrogen exchange subtype 5 (NHE5) inhibitor with IC50 of 3.11 uM, 80-fold selective over NHE1.
UTX-143 shows potent cytotoxic activity against HT-1080 cells (IC50=15.4 uM), with no cytotoxic activity against normal cells at up to 100 μM.
UTX-143 also shows broad cytotoxic activity against esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and gastric cancer cell lines in WST-8 assays.
UTX-143 (20 uM) suppresses MMP-9 expression and MMP-2 activation in mouse metastatic melanoma cells.
UTX-143 (25 uM) has a strong invasion-inhibiting effect on HT-1080 cells.
