Biological Activity

WR-S-647 is a potent and specific inhibitor of STAT3 with binding affinity (SPR Kd) of 34 nM.
WR-S-647 inhibited cyst growth in the in vitro MDCK cyst model.
WR-S-647 (1 uM) inhibited cystogenesis in embryonic kidney model.
WR-S-647 (5 mg/kg) suppressed STAT3 activation and target gene transcription and retarded cyst formation in ADPKD mice.
