Biological Activity
Y18501 is a smalll molecule oxysterol-binding protein (OSBP) inhibitor, shows strong inhibitory activity against Pseudoperonospora cubensis with EC50 of 0.001-11.785 ug/mL for 159 Ps. cubensis isolates.
Y18501 shows good control efficacy on cucumber downy mildew (CDM) in the green house and in the field.
Y18501 could effectively inhibit different development stages of P. cubensis, especially for sporangiophore production, sporangial production, mycelium extension, and elongation of germ tube.
Y18501 shows excellent protective and curative activities against P. cubensis. acropetal systemic mobility in the cucumber leaves, and could be taken up and translocated to the upper leaves more effectively from the lower leaves than from the roots.
