    Biological Activity

    ZTA-261 is a thyroid hormone analog and selective agonist agonist of thyroid hormone receptor beta-subtype (TRβ, THRβ) with IC50 of 6.3 nM, >100-fold selective over TRα.
    ZTA-261 is more selective towards THRβ than GC-1. effective as GC-1 in reducing the levels of serum and liver lipids.
    ZTA-261 significantly increased Dio1 and Me1 expression, also upregulated Thrsp.
    ZTA-261 at 1 µmol/kg·day reduced fat droplets to a level comparable to that in animals fed a normal diet.
