Biological Activity

(+)-dMGer ((R)-dMGer) is a potent agonist of Karrikin Insensitive 2 (KAI2), inhibits KAI2 hydrolytic activity with IC50 of 0.16 uM.
(+)-dMGer induced the interaction of KAI2 with SMAX1 at a 1 µM concentration.
(+)-dMGer dramatically decreases the Tm value of KAI2 from 51.6 to 33.4 °C with increasing ligand concentrations.
(+)-dMGer (0.03-0.3 uM) strongly inhibited hypocotyl elongation in Arabidopsis hypocotyl elongation assay
(+)-dMGer promoted the germination of thermoinhibited seeds from a concentration of 0.01 µM.
