Biological Activity

A2ti-1 (S100A10-ANXA2 heterotetramer inhibitor-1) is a specific small molecule Annexin A2 (ANXA2) inhibitor, inhibits Annexin A2-S100A10 protein interaction with IC50 of 24 uM (Annexin A2/S100A10 heterotetramer (A2t)).
A2ti-1 remarkably inhibits Pseudorabies virus (PRV) propagation in vitro and protect mice from PRV infection in vivo.
A2ti-1 significantly reduces Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) replication in host cells.
A2ti-1 reduced α-SMA protein levels and expression of profibrotic genes, indicating direct suppression of stellate cell activation in human hepatic stellate cells.
A2ti-1 significantly reduced fibrosis by lowering α-SMA levels, collagen deposition, and profibrotic gene expression, without altering steatosis in human multilineage liver organoids.
A2ti-1 inhibited hepatic stellate cell activation through a SMAD-independent mechanism involving reduced STAT3 phosphorylation.
