AR9281 (APAU) is a potent, selective and orally active soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) inhibitor with IC50 of 8 nM and 3 nM for human and mouse sEH enzyme, respectively.
AR9281 is highly selective with no inhibitory activity against microsomal epoxide hydrolase or an extended panel of ca.150 other enzyme and receptor targets at 10 uM.
AR9281 attenuates the enhanced glucose excursion following an intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test in mouse model of diet induced obesity.
AR9281 also attenuates the increase in blood pressure in angiotensin-II-induced hypertension in rats.
