Biological Activity

Acid ceramidase inhibitor 43 is a potent, small molecule inhibitor of acid ceramidase (aCDase) with enzymatic pIC50 of 8.5 and cellular pIC50 of 6.8 (A375 melanoma cell).
Acid ceramidase inhibitor 43 promotes human hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) inactivation, as measured by a dose-dependent reduction in COL1A1 and ACTA2.
Acid ceramidase inhibitor 43 significantly inhibited YAP/TAZ nuclear localization in HSCs.
