Auxurea A is a selective competitive small molecule inhibitor of IAA-amino acid conjugating enzymes GH3, specifically inhibited GH3-mediated IAA inactivation both in vivo and in vitro, induces high-auxin phenotypes in Arabidopsis.
Auxurea A increases endogenous IAA levels in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) plants, phenocopying the IAA-overaccumulating gh3 septuple mutants.
Auxurea A exhibits selective activity toward dicotyledonous plants, including tobacco, lettuce, and carrot, but is not effective in monocotyledonous plants, such as rice and barley.
