BNZ-1 (BNZ132-1-40) is a pegylated peptide, BNZ132-1 conjugated with methoxy-PEG40 maleimide molecule via a specific linker (CGSGG), specifically binds the γc receptor to selectively block IL-2, IL-15 and IL-9 signaling.
BNZ-1 (BNZ132-1-40) is a helical peptide designed to bind directly to the γc molecule and is PEGylated to increase its half-life, selectively block IL-2, IL-15, and IL-9 binding while leaving other γc and non-γc cytokine signaling unaffected.
BNZ-1 effectively inhibited ex vivo HTLV-1 associated myelopathy/ tropical spastic paraparesis PBMC proliferation and in vivo proliferation of murine CD8+ T cell leukemia in an IL-15 transgenic mouse model.
BNZ-1 exhibited no adverse effects on other immune cells and maintained selectivity for Tregs, CD8+ T and NK cells.
