Biological Activity

CCG-222740 (CCG222740) is a pharmacological inhibitor of MRTF/SRF signalling, shows greater inhibitory effect on MRTF/SRF target genes than MRTF-A inhibitor CCG-203971, with IC50 of 5 uM in fibroblast-mediated collagen contraction assay.
CCG-222740 is a more potent inhibitor of alpha-smooth muscle actin protein expression than CCG-203971.
CCG-222740 prevents scar tissue formation in a preclinical model of fibrosis; effectively kills BRAFi-resistant melanoma cells.
