CD437 (CD 437) is a retinoid-like small molecule that selectively induces apoptosis in cancer cells, but not in normal cells, directly inhibits DNA polymerase α with IC50 of 22 nM, also acts as an RARγ agonist.
CD437 shows weak activity against POLA1 L700S or the L764S mutation (IC50:1.2 uM, 2.6 uM, rspectively).
CD437 inhibits the growth of both ATRA-sensitive (CA-OV-3) and ATRA-resistant (SK-OV-3) ovarian tumor cells, and induces apoptosis.
