Biological Activity

CES1 inhibitor DL-9 is a slow-binding allosteric inhibitor of Carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) with IC50 of 45.36 uM, Cys 390 is critical for the inhibition of CES1 by DL-9.
DL-9 (50 uM) resulted in a significant reduction in human CES1 activity relative to vehicle control (mean inhibition 73%).
CES1 inhibitor DL-9 effectively reduce apolipoprotein B 100 (APOB) secretion in iPSC-derived hepatocyte.
