Cofilin inhibitor SZ-3 (SZ-3) is a first-in-class small-molecule inhibitor of cofilin, shows potent anti-inflammatory activities.

SZ-3 decreases cofilin severing activity, and attenuates microglial activation and suppresses migration and proliferation in LPS-activated HMC-3 cells.
SZ-3 shows significantly decreased NO and TNF-α, significantly increases protein expression of phosphocofilin, and decreases PAR-1 in model for hemorrhagic stroke.
