Biological Activity
DWP05195 (DWP-05195) is a transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) antagonist.
DWP05195 competitively inhibit transduction of the pain signal evoked by typical TRPV1 agonists such as capsaicin, endovanilloid, anandamide, and N-arachidonoyl dopamine.
DWP05195 demonstrates a growth inhibitory effect on the five human ovarian cancer cell lines (A2780 (IC50=17.5 uM), SKOV3, OVCAR3, TOV-21G, and Hey8A).
DWP05195 induces apoptosis via both intrinsic and extrinsic apoptotic pathways in human ovarian cancer cells, induces C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) expression and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.
DWP05195 induces ER stress-induced apoptosis via the ROS-p38-CHOP pathway in human ovarian cancer cells.
