Biological Activity

E6060 is a potent, selective retinoic acid receptor subtype α (RAR-α) agonist with Ki of 0.2 nM, IC50 of 0.2 nM for RAR-α-mediated reporter transactivation assays.
E6060 does not induce reporter transactivation through any of the RXR homodimers (RXR-α, RXR-β, and RXR-γ) at 3000 nM.
E6060 at 0.03 and 0.1 mg/kg (once daily, p.o.) significantly improved survival rate and prevented the development of proteinuria in (NZBxNZW)F1 mice.
E6060 also reduced anti-DNA autoantibodies and total serum IgG in E6060-treated mice.
