G3BP inhibitor b (G3Ib) binds the NTF2L domain of G3BP1, disrupts in vitro condensation of RNA, G3BP1, and caprin 1.
G3BP inhibitor b (G3Ib) (50 uM) inhibits stress granule formation in HeLa cells about 82%.
G3BP inhibitor b (G3Ib) (50 uM) reduces eIF3η, PABPC1, and FXR1 puncta, indicating disassembly of stress granules beyond simple extraction of G3BP1, does not influence the rate of translation in cells.
G3BP inhibitor b (G3Ib) prevents the formation of stress granules and dissolves preformed stress granules in human iPSC-derived neurons, dissolves stress granules formed in response to expression of a disease-causing VCP mutant.
