GC376 (GC-376) is a broad-spectrum antiviral agent that inhibits 3C or 3C-like proteases (3Cpro or 3CLpro) of picornaviruses, noroviruses, and coronaviruses with IC50 of 0.96 (MD145), 0.82 (TGEV) and 0.2 uM (HRV) in FRET protease assays.
GC376 demonstrates significant effectivities against caliciviruses (NV and MNV-1), coronaviruses (TGEV, FIPV, MHV, 229E, and BCV), and picornaviruses (HRVs 18, 51, and 68 (EC50=0.3-1.5 uM), EV71 (EC50=10.3 uM), and PTV).
GC376 showed promise in treating cats with certain presentations of feline infectious peritonitis.
