    Biological Activity

    GNF-9228 is a small molecule that stimulates human β-cell proliferation, selectively activates human β-cell relative to α- or δ-cell proliferation.
    GNF-9228 stimulates insulin secretion in rat and human islets.
    GNF-9228 protects 832/13 cells from ER stress and cytokine-induced cytotoxicity.
    Rat islet cell proliferation induced by GNF-9228 is not inhibited by overexpression of DYRK1A.
