GSK898 is a potent, highly selective kynurenine monooxygenase (KMO) inhibitor with pIC50 of 8.8.
GSK898 shows no inhibitory effects on the other enzymes in the tryptophan metabolism pathway (IDO, TDO, KATI/II, kynureninase).
GSK898 rescues the phenotype, reducing 3-hydroxykynurenine and protecting against critical illness and death.
