Biological Activity
Galinex is a highly potent, selective GPR17 agonist with EC50 of 0.64 nM, Emax=127.8% in [35S]GTPγS functional assays in membranes from 1321N1 cells transfected with human GPR17.
Galinex at 0.1 uM exhibits no significant pharmacological activity on 40 GPCRs including purinergic P2Yn, CysLT1 and CysLT2 and chemokine receptor sub-families.
Galinex shows protective activity on experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) development in vivo in the EAE mouse model.
Galinex can promote oligodendrocyte maturation and wrapping features under non-permissive inflammatory conditions.
