HU-308 is a potent, selective cannabinoid CB2 receptor agonist with Ki of 22.7 nM in competition binding assay, does not bind to CB1 receptor.
HU-308 inhibits forskolin-stimulated cyclic AMP production in CB(2)-transfected cells, but does so much less in CB(1)-transfected cells.
HU-308 has IC50 of 117 nM in cAMP assays, EC50 of 18.3 nM in [35S]GTPγS binding assays.
HU-308 reduces blood pressure, blocks defecation, and elicits anti-inflammatory and peripheral analgesic activity in mice in a tetrad of behavioral tests.
