HYPE inhibitor I2.10 (AMPylase inhibitor I2.10) is a small molecule AMPylase inhibitor, perturbs HYPE-mediated AMPylation of heat shock chaperone binding immunoglobulin protein (BiP) in vitro with IC50 of 12.1 uM.
I2.10 enacts a reliable inhibitory effect of AMPylation on HYPE's primary substrate, the ER chaperone BiP.
I2.10 is especially suited for development as a HYPE-specific drug for the treatment of clinical conditions of neurodegeneration and diabetes.
HYPE resides in the ER (endoplasmic reticulum) where it AMPylates the heat shock chaperone BiP (Binding Immunoglobulin Protein).
